VIDEO PREMIERE: French blackened sludgecore purveyors ERLEN MEYER debut Coton Cardé

So far this year I have listened to 3-4 great records and I can safely say that the fierce French blackened sludge-core purveyors ERLEN MEYER have arguably released my favourite record of 2018 so far.  Yes it is only 10 days old, but 2019 is going off with a fucking bang and on January, 25^th of 2019 Argonauta Records are on the verge of releasing the best album of their long discography so far.

 On 'Sang et Or', the French-based power quintet’s sophomore continues the experience of a concept that is paying tribute to the dark novels of Agatha Christie and the spine-chilling stories of Alfred Hitchcock. ERLEN MEYER are breaking boundaries of the monolithic and the crushing, mixing the sludge and Hardcore styles it won fame for, to deliver a devastating and utterly captivating record.

VIDEO PREMIERE: Catania doom magisterium Haunted debut "Dayburner"

Almost two years since their last appearance on THE SLUDGELORD, Haunted are back and are readying the release of their new album “Dayburner” which is available in a variet of formats via Twin Earth Records, Graven Earth Records, and DHU Records.  Forged in Catania in 2015, once again Haunted deliver their s(low) sub-sabbathian doom and this latest chapter has been recorded by Carlo Longo at NuevArte Studio in Catania and mastered by the renowned producer Brad Boatright (Sleep, COC, Yob, Obituary, among others) at Audiosiege Engineering in Portland, Oregon.

VIDEO PREMIERE: Bloodnut infect us with groove with "Drop Dead Redhead"

Bloodnut, if we’re talking Etymology is Australasian in origin and an informal reference to a person with red hair, a redhead. Blood (red) + nut (head) and it also happens to be the name of a storming New Zealand based stoner sludge band, who have been infecting people with groove since their formation in 2012. Battling like warriors through a steady flow of gigs, coupled with their lion’s share of line-up changes, the band began to build a decent following while playing alongside Corrosion of Conformity, Torche, Red Fang, Black Tusk, The Sword and Beastwars.

In mid 2015 the band entered the studio to record their debut album aptly named “Blues from the Red Sons”. The album, which was released on the 10th September 2016, represents the last four years of the bands existence and today we are happy to present their awesome new video which the band shot and funded themselves which you can check out below.

The band will be sending 10% of all album sales be they digital or physical to The Sumatran Orangutan Conservation Programme because they are after, a band of gingers.  You can check out the band being interviewed on national television and actually go in to the Orangutan enclosure by clicking here
